The meeting has served to better define the goals of a new specification and formulate a set of operating principles of OSID development. Documents resulting from the meeting discussions have been posted in the "Working Group" Library directory of the okiproject.org web site (http://okiproject.org/filemgmt/viewcat.php?cid=30). The initial draft specifications regarding the OSID framework are available in the "Drafts" directory (http://okiproject.org/filemgmt/viewcat.php?cid=22).
The next step is applying these goals and principles to the generic design patterns used across the OSIDs. We began having these discussions at the end of the Monday meeting, during the Wednesday design session, and are continuing discussions in the online V3 forum (http://okiproject.org/forum/index.php?forum=1).
We invite you to participate in the V3 forum to discuss the technical issues pertaining to the interfaces and debate proposed changes. The okiproject.org web site contains additional forums to discuss other aspects of O.K.I. as well as various library documents which you may find helpful.
